Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Wes Carpenter, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Carpenter finished with four goals and two assists in a 12-11 win over Yorktown.

Chris Clemens, Brien McMahon Baseball. Clemens hit a grand slam and three-run homer in a 13-11 win over New Canaan.

Alex Deutsch, Staples Baseball. Deutsch pitched a complete-game 1-hitter in a 2-0 win over Ridgefield.

Tyler Herget, Darien Volleyball. Herget finished with 21 kills, nine digs and four aces in a 3-0 win over Staples.

Derrick Rivers, Danbury Lacrosse. Rivers scored five goals, including the tying score with 22 seconds left, and had two assists in an 8-7 overtime win against Stamford.

Aidan Wykoff, Fairfield Lacrosse. Wykoff scored five goals in a loss to Fairfield Warde to become the school’s all-time leader in points. Earlier in the week he became the record holder for career goals.

Bobby Zmarzlak, Westhill Baseball. Zmarzlak hit two home runs in a 7-3 win over Greenwich.

 

Here are the female finalists:

Emma Beinstein, Greenwich Softball. Beinstein went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-2 win over Wilton.

Callie Cirilli, Fairfield Ludlowe Lacrosse. Cirilli scored 10 goals in three wins for the Falcons.

Payton Doiron, St. Joseph Softball. Doiron allowed just one run in three wins, two over unbeaten teams.

Sarah Jaques, Darien Lacrosse. Jaques scored five goals in a 12-11 win over New Canaan.

Riley Peters, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Peters scored six goals in two wins.

Catherine Sheehan, Norwalk Softball. Sheehan had two hits, including the game-winning two-run single, in a 6-4 win over Newtown.
