Darien’s SUPERFANS and Ridgefield’s Tiger’s Lair have tied for first place in the third annual Ruden Report Fan Showdown, sponsored by the Southfield Center for Development.
We will give Darien and Ridgefield the option to split the $500 first prize from the Southfield Center or hold a vote-off next week.
Ridgefield’s Tiger’s Lair, last year’s winners, finished in first place in the video portion of the competition, worth 5 points. Darien finished in second place, for 3 points, while Stamford’s Black Knight Nation was third for 1 point. Darien won the voting competition and Ridgefield was second, giving both schools 8 points overall. Stamford’s Black Knight Nation, which also came in third place in the voting competition, ended up in third place overall.
There were three judges for the video competition. Two awarded the Tiger’s Lair first place, while one had them in third place. The SUPERFANS received one first place, one second place and one third place vote. Black Knight Nation received two second place and one third place votes.
We want to thank all the schools for participating and the Southfield Center for Development for sponsoring the contest. We look forward to holding this for a fourth time next year.
And we really look forward to a vote-off if both fan bases agree to do so.
