I just posted my FCIAC boys basketball midseason report, and one of the most difficult choices was for Coach of the Year. A number of coaches, many of them with just a few seasons or less under their belts, have positioned their teams for high seeds or playoff berths.

Talk to a number of coaches and they will offer a different candidate for the best job so far.

So we are giving you a chance to have your say. The view here is there are seven viable choices: Central’s Barry McLeod, Greenwich’s Bill Brehm, Westhill’s Howard White, Ridgefield’s Andrew McClellan, Stamford’s Danny Melzer, Wilton’s Joel Geriak and Trumbull’s Buddy Bray.

So those are the candidates here. Or you can pick the Other category and explain your pick in the comments section. We will give you until noon on Friday to vote.
