Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.

Here are the male finalists:

Will Bothwell, Darien Football. Bothwell finished with three sacks in the Blue Wave’s 27-21 win over Greenwich.

Chris Carratu, New Canaan Football. Carratu set a school single-game record with five sacks in a 41-21 win over Staples.

Tiago Frazao, Trumbull Soccer. Frazao scored three goals in the Eagles’ 4-1 win over Greenwich.

Kyle Gordon, Norwalk Football. Gordon scored four touchdowns in a 42-14 win over Trumbull.

Kenly Lalanne, Stamford Soccer. Lalanne finished with two goals and an assist in a 3-2 win over Wilton.

Mario Morataya, Fairfield Warde Soccer. Morataya scored twice and had an assist in a pair of wins.

Jaden Shirden, St. Joseph Football. Shirden carried the ball 25 times for 257 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Ridgefield.

Here are the female finalists:

Charlotte Barnes, Staples Soccer. Barnes scored the deciding goal in a 1-0 win over New Canaan.

Catherine Maguire, Ridgefield Volleyball. Maguire had 15 kills and eight blocks in a 3-1 win over St. Joseph.

Peyton McNamara, Brien McMahon Soccer. McNamara scored her school-record 45th goal in a win over Trinity Catholic.

Mari Noble, Greenwich Cross Country. Noble won the Class LL championship.

Marra Woodring, Wilton Swimming. Woodring won the diving competition in a victory over Fairfield Ludlowe.
