Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our new performance T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Matt Tabet, St. Joseph Baseball. Tabet had a double, home run, three RBIs and three runs scored in a 10-2 win over Norwalk.

Griffin Polley, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Polley hit a two-out, two-strike grand slam in the 7th inning for a 7-4 win over Norwalk and pitched a six-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Ridgefield.

Jake Horowitz, Darien Baseball. Horowitz went 4 for 4 with three doubles and three runs scored in a 17-9 win over Greenwich.

Pete Meyerson, Brien McMahon Baseball. Meyerson went 4 for 8 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and nine RBIs in three games.

Matthew Bucciero, Ridgefield Baseball. Bucciero hits two grand slams in a 13-3 win over Stamford.


Here are the female finalists:

Charlotte Barnes, Staples Lacrosse. Barnes finished with one goal and four assists, including setting up the winning goal in OT against Ridgefield, and four goals and two assists against Stamford.

Lexi McCallNew Canaan Tennis. McCall, a sophomore, had straight-set wins at No. 1 singles against Wilton and Staples.

Maddie Conte, Darien Softball. Conte went 6 for 12 with 10 RBIs in three wins.

Gabby Mercado, Fairfield Warde Softball. Mercado went 7 for 10 with two home runs and five RBIs in three games.

Kim Saunders, Stamford Softball. Saunders went 8-14 with three home runs, three doubles, three walks, seven RBIs and seven runs, and went 3-0 in four games with 57 strikeouts in 27 innings.

Kiki Grant, Trumbull Lacrosse. Grant scored all five goals in a loss to Guilford, including the 100th of her career.

Allie Clark, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Clark went 7 for 10 with two home runs and four RBIs in three wins.
