After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past two months, starting on Sunday night it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected six outstanding male and six female finalists for the BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Spring Male and Female Player of the Year awards.

The winners will receive a trophy from BlueStreak Sports Training and The Ruden Report.

The final fields were compiled after talking to and getting recommendations from a number of league coaches in each sport, as well as personal observations.

The six male finalists are:

Noah Farrell, Wilton

Kyle Foote, Greenwich

Peter Lindley, Darien

Randy Polonia, Trinity Catholic

Jon Spicci, Ridgefield

Harry Stanton, New Canaan

The six female finalists are:

Hannah DeBalsi, Staples

Claire Howlett, Westhill

Brenna Martini, Fairfield Ludlowe

Makenna Pearsall, Wilton

Lauren Pitney, St. Joseph

Dillon Schoen, Darien

This was without a doubt the most difficult process choosing finalists in the five years of this award, dating back to the Overtime blog. To avoid splitting the vote, we select just one finalist per gender from each school. In three instances we had three deserving candidates on the same team. One school had six athletes considered for one spot.

The voting will run from Sunday at 7:30 until noon on Wednesday, so check back and be prepared to vote.
