CIAC Meeting Tomorrow Regarding Spring Sports
Dave Ruden
03.17.2020
The CIAC will be holding a teleconference call tomorrow morning at 9 to discuss the status of the high school spring sports season. The participants besides CIAC officials will include conference commissioners, school superintendents and principals.
Joel Cookson, the CIAC’s director of media and sports information, said the organization has come up with some recommendations that will be discussed.
The plan is for the CIAC to send out a press release after the meeting.
Assuming there is no cancellation of the season, teams would be unable to start practices until their schools are all back in session.
The original schedule called for the first games to be played on April 4, with state championships completed the weekend of June 12-13.
