Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Hunter Agosti, Trumbull Football. Agosti was 20-28 for 354 yards and threw for three touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Shelton.

Henry Cunney, New Canaan Football. Cunney completed 12 of 13 passes for 141 yards and two scores in a 21-7 win over North Haven.

Ryan Gilchrist, Norwalk Football. Gilchrist entered late in the fourth quarter and threw his first career TD pass, 58 yards to Cam Edwards on fourth and 17, for the winning score in a 25-15 decision over No. 8 Cheshire.

Manny Cacciari, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Cacciari finished with 12 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown in a shutout win over Pomperaug.

Matthew Shepard, Ridgefield Football. Shepard led an inspired defensive effort with a number of passes defended in a 10-7 win over Newtown

Michael Sinisi, Greenwich Football. Sinisi, the Cardinals’ center, also played on the defensive line for the first time, had a late sack and helped lead a dominant effort in a 14-7 win over Fairfield Prep.

Ryan Thompson, Staples Football. Thomspon threw for four touchdowns and ran for another in a 57-12 win over Wilbur Cross.


Here are the female finalists:

Payton Foster, Greenwich Swimming. Foster won the 100 freestyle and 200 IM in a win over Ridgefield.

Anna Keeley, Fairfield Ludlowe Girls Cross Country. Keeley took first place in a meet against Staples, Greenwich and Brien McMahon.

Caroline Marcus, Fairfield Warde Soccer. Marcus finished with three goals and four assists in a pair of wins.

Kat Roth, New Canaan Volleyball. Roth had 57 assists in a 3-2 win over Wilton.

Jillian Roche, Darien Volleyball. Roche has 13 kills and eight digs in a win over Trumbull.

Ava Tuccio, St. Joseph Volleyball. Tuccio finished with 39 kills, 15 blocks and four service aces in three straight-set wins.
