We have 10 male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Jostin Barahona, Westhill Volleyball. Barahona finished with five kills, seven aces and one block in a 3-0 win over Norwich Tech.
Michael Bocchino, Greenwich Baseball. Bocchino hit a walkoff two-out, two-run single in a 3-2 win over Newtown.
Dougie Cahill, Norwalk Lacrosse. Cahill finished with five goals and an assist in an overtime win over Fitch.
Michael Coletti, Fairfield Warde Lacrosse. Coletti, a freshman goaltender, stopped 13 shots in a 6-4 win over Roslyn (NY).
Ryan Colsey, Ridgefield Boys Lacrosse. Colsey finished with five goals and an assist in a 14-10 win over Fairfield Prep.
Kevin Katragadda, Trumbull Baseball. Katragadda had two hits, including a three-run homer, and four RBIs in a 10-2 win over Masuk.
Sean Lengyel, Wilton Baseball. Lengyel gave up one run, with six strikeouts, and went 2-for-4 with an RBI and stolen base in an 11-1 win over Weston.
Phil Stalzer, Brien McMahon Baseball. Stalzer allowed just two hits and struck out seven over five innings of relief in a 7-1 win over Norwalk.
Matt Tabet, St. Joseph Baseball. Tabet threw a complete-game shutout, with eight strikeouts, and had two hits and two RBIs in a 3-0 win over Notre Dame-Fairfield.
Max Udell, Staples Lacrosse. Udell finished with four goals and one assist in a 17-3 win over Bronxville.
Here are the female finalists:
Kat Costanzo, Wilton Softball. Costanzo went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI in Wilton’s 8-5 win over Weston.
Ellie Gallagi, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Gallagi had two hits and an RBI as the Falcons stopped Masuk’s 36-game win streak with a 2-0 win.
Jillian Guilfoyle, St. Joseph Softball. Guilfoyle went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored in an 8-0 win over Sheehan.
Devon Russell, New Canaan Lacrosse. Russell scored four times in an 18-4 win over Stamford.
Emily Whelan, Norwalk Softball. Whelan opened the game with a home run and added a single and double in an 11-6 win over Notre Dame-Fairfield.
