We have eight male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Tyler Clark, Staples Lacrosse. Clark scored six goals and added 10 assists in wins over Greenwich and St. Joseph.
Carter Connors, New Canaan Lacrosse. Connors scored four goals in an 11-10 win over Darien.
Brennan Cutter, Trumbull Volleyball. Cutter had 18 kills and nine blocks in a 3-1 win over New Canaan.
Bryce Metalios, Greenwich Lacrosse. Metalios finished with 11 goals and two assists as the Cardinals split a pair of games.
Mitch Petrecca, Fairfield Warde Volleyball. Petrecca finished with 24 kills, 10 service points and six digs in a five-set win over Greenwich.
Caleb Rath, Wilton Lacrosse. Rath finished with six goals and one assist in a 15-12 win over Ridgefield.
Phil Stalzer, Brien McMahon Baseball. Stalzer had two hits, including a game-tying three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning, and four RBIs in a 6-5 win over Greenwich.
Tyler Steinwing, St. Joseph Lacrosse. Steinwing had 13 saves and four groundballs in the Cadets’ upset win over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Here are the female finalists:
Sara DiGiovanni, Staples Lacrosse. DiGiovanni finished with 12 saves, three forced turnovers and two groundballs in a 10-6 win over Greenwich.
Alana Goldhaber, Stamford Lacrosse. Goldhaber had nine goals and seven assists in a pair of wins, winning 23 of 30 draw controls in the victory over New Milford.
Addison Pattillo, Wilton Lacrosse. Pattillo scored five goals and had five draw controls in an 18-9 win over Ridgefield.
Haley Pucci, Danbury Softball. Haley Pucci threw a one-hit shutout with 18 strikeouts to lead Danbury to a 1-0 win over New Canaan.
Devon Russell, New Canaan Lacrosse. Russell scored two goals and dominated draw controls in the second half to help the Rams pull away for a win over Wilton.
