Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Joe Cesare, Darien Boys Lacrosse. Cesare finished with three goals and four assists for Darien in a 15-10 win over Staples.

Nico Christon, Westhill Baseball. Christon, filling in at shortstop, had two hits and two RBIs in a 5-0 win over Staples.

Caleb Pajak, Ridgefield Tennis. Pajak improved to 8-1 with two big wins, over Fairfield Warde’s Many Montejo 6-0, 5-7, 6-0, and Greenwich’s Yuta Kawamura, 6-1, 6-4. 

Griffin Polley, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Polley hit a game-winning walkoff home run against Danbury and then a game-winning 10th-inning bunt single against Westhill.

Harry Tavella, Fairfield Ludlowe Baseball. Tavella allowed just five hits and struck out 12 over 6 2/3 innings in an 8-2 win over Brien McMahon.

Here are the female finalists:

Ava Biasotti, New Canaan Softball. Biasotti threw a perfect game through seven innings and struck out 22 in a 1-0 loss to Brookfield in eight innings.

Gabby Price-Ellie Price, Fairfield Ludlowe Tennis. The Falcons’ No. 1 doubles team won four matches to improve to 11-0.

Ally Schwartz, Staples Softball. Schwartz homered twice among her three hits and drove in six runs in a 19-9 win over Darien.

Molly Snow, Wilton Lacrosse. Snow finished with five goals and two assists in a 16-2 win over Greenwich.
