We have six male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Doster Crowell, New Canaan Hockey. Crowell finished with two goals and two assists in wins over Greenwich and Ridgefield.
Phoenix Gardella, Norwalk Wrestling. Gardella was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Fairfield Warde Invitational after winning the 126-pound title.
Micah Kelly, Fairfield Ludlowe Wrestling. Kelly won every match by pin in winning the 120-pound title at the Fairfield Warde Invitational.
Nehemias Pettway, Fairfield Warde Wrestling. Pettway was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Fairfield Warde Invitational after winning the 220-pound title.
Jeremiah Winchester, Stamford Basketball. Winchester scored 20 points in a win over St. Joseph.
Chris Zajac, Staples Basketball. Zajac finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds in an upset win over Ridgefield and finished with 31 points and 31 rebounds in two wins.
Here are the female finalists:
Mia Guster, Staples Gymnastics. Guster scored 9.0 to win both the beam and floor and help lead the Wreckers to a win over Greenwich.
Emma Johnson, Fairfield Warde Gymnastics. Johnson scored a 36.8 to win the all-around in a win over three other schools.
Erin Lovett, St. Joseph Basketball. Lovett finished with 37 points and 28 rebounds in a pair of wins.
Sophia Sergio, Greenwich Basketball. Sergio scored 18 points in a win over Amistad.
Maya Sherman, Stamford/Westhill/Staples Hockey. Sherman’s goal with just over three minutes left lifted SWS to its first win over New Canaan in nine years.
