Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Ryan Boulanger, New Canaan Boys Cross Country. Boulanger took first place as the Rams won a four-team meet.

Owen Bull, Trumbull Soccer. Bull finished with three goals and an assist in a pair of wins.

Austin Leifer, St. Joseph Football. Leifer finished with eight tackles, a sack and returned an interception for a touchdown in a 13-0 win over Notre Dame-West Haven.

Jackson Frame, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Frame finished with three interceptions and a touchdown reception in a 35-14 win over Hamden.

Chino Mejía, Brien McMahon Soccer. Mejia finished with three goals in wins over Trumbull and Danbury.

Kai Sparks, Darien Soccer. Sparks finished with three goals and two assists in a pair of games.

Damar Taylor, Stamford Football. Taylor finished with 5 catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-7 win over Simsbury.


Here are the female finalists:

Sofia Fidalgo, Staples Field Hockey. Fidalgo finished with six goals and an assist in wins over New Canaan and Fairfield Warde.

Ashley Stockdale, Darien Field Hockey. Stockdale was one of three players to score three goals in a 12-4 win over Ann Arbor (MI) at the MaxPreps Invitational.

Ava Thatcher, Danbury Soccer. Thatcher, a freshman, scored all three goals in a 3-0 win over Westhill and another in a loss to McMahon.

Ava Ward, Ridgefield Swimming. Ward won the 50 and 400 freestyle in wins over Fairfield Warde and Danbury.

Bailey Wright, Trumbull Volleyball. Wright finished with seven kills, 21 assists and two blocks in a five-set win over Westhill.
