We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Parker Broderick, Fairfield Warde Cross Country. Broderick took first place in a meet with wins over Wilton, Greenwich and Bridgeport Central.
Vincent Carr, Ridgefield Golf. Carr shot a 2-over-par 37 in a win over New Canaan.
Matthew Fortin, St. Joseph Golf. Fortin shot a par-36 in a win over New Canaan.
Rowan Johnston, Trumbull Football. Johnston rushed for a possible school-record 348 yards on 27 carries, had 45 receiving yards and scored five times in a 42-21 win over Ridgefield.
Avery Mueller, Staples Soccer. Mueller finished with three goals and two assists in three wins.
David Unruh, Wilton Soccer. Unruh finished with three assists in a 4-2 win over New Canaan.
Here are the female finalists:
Emma Abbazia, Greenwich Soccer. Abbazia scored twice to help the Cardinals tie Staples 2-2 and had an assist in a 2-1 win over New Canaan.
Annelise Enters, Darien Swimming. Enters won the diving in a win over Wilton.
Eleanor Luft, Ridgefield Field Hockey. Bull finished with three goals and an assist in a pair of wins.
Lucie Nivaud, Staples Volleyball. Nivaud averaged 23 assists, two kills, seven aces, two blocks and eight digs in three wins.
Francesca Pagano, St. Joseph Cross Country. Pagano took first place in a meet with wins over Ridgefield, Norwalk and Brien McMahon.
Eliana Savelli, New Canaan Cross Country. Savelli took first place in 15:53 in wins over Staples and Trumbull.
