Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Alex Benevento, New Canaan Baseball. Benevento went three for three with four runs scored in an 8-4 win over Westhill. He is batting 1.000 for the season.

Carter Hagen, Darien Lacrosse. Hagen stopped 11 shots in a 7-4 win over Staples.

Kyle Justo, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Justo went six for eight with three runs and three RBIs in three wins.

Timothy Pierre, Staples Track. Pierre won the long jump and the triple jump in a win against Brien McMahon.

Connor Robinson, Westhill Lacrosse. Robinson finished with 12 goals and two assists in a pair of games.

Jayden Triana, Brien McMahon Track. Triana won the 100, 200 and was part of the winning 4×100 relay in a meet against Staples.

Colin Zeller, Greenwich Lacrosse. Zeller finished with 10 goals as the Cardinals split two games.


Here are the female finalists:

Emma Abbazia, Greenwich Lacrosse. Abbazia finished with eight goals and 11 draw controls in a pair of games.

Mackie Caouette, St. Joseph Softball. Caouette, a freshman, went nine for 13, with five runs scored and three RBIs in three wins.

Briana Cardona, Westhill Softball. Cardona went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA, striking out 23 and allowing just four hits.

Maddie Collins, Norwalk Softball. Collins went 2-1 and in 18 innings gave up one earned run, with 26 strikeouts and just eight hits allowed.

Emily Dowd, Fairfield Warde Softball. Dowd went 2-1 with a 1.46 ERA, striking out 46 in 23 innings.

Lexie Tully, New Canaan Lacrosse. Tully finished with four goals and five assists in a 16-7 win over Ridgefield.

Taylor Wolf, Fairfield Ludlowe Lacrosse. Wolf finished with three goals and three assists in a 13-3 win over Guilford.
