We have five male and seven female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Will Carley, Trumbull Football. Carley had five solo tackles, eight assists and an interception return for a touchdown in a 29-22 come-from-behind win over Danbury.
M.J. D’Angelo, Greenwich Football. D’Angelo threw four touchdown passes in a 37-7 win over Stamford.
George Ives, New Canaan Golf. Ives shot a one-over par 36 to win medalist honors in the Rams’ win over Norwalk.
Mason Riina, Norwalk Football. Riina threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns in a come-from-behind 21-19 win over Wilton.
Shane Sandrew, Staples Football. Sandrew tied the school record for catches in a game with 12, for 143 yards and two touchdowns, in a 35-7 win over Ridgefield.
Niene Boezen, Greenwich Field Hockey. Boezen scored off a penalty corner at the buzzer for a 2-1 win over Norwalk.
Defne Ceken, Westhill Volleyball. Ceken had 22 killds, 12 digs, 1 ace and 4 blocks in a five-set win over Ridgefield.
Grayson Farnum, Brien McMahon Field Hockey. Farnum scored three goals as the Senators defeated Danbury for their first win.
Clare Greisen, New Canaan Soccer. Greisen finished with four goals and an assist in a pair of wins.
Clara Grosner, Fairfield Ludlowe Volleyball. Grosner had 32 assists and 3 digs in a straight-set win over New Canaan.
Ava Kunkel, Trumbull Volleyball. Kunkel had 15 kills and 5 digs in a straight-set win over Fairfield Warde and 11 kills and six digs in a four-set win over Brien McMahon.
Emma Larit, Staples Field Hockey. Larit had a goal and three assists in a 5-0 win over nationally ranked Palmyra Area (PA).
