We have five male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Mikey Brescia, Greenwich Lacrosse. Brescia finished with 10 goals and six assists in three wins.
Carson Dodder, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Dodder went 6 for 10 with three RBIs in three wins.
Aryan Gautam, Trumbull Volleyball. Gautam finished with 28 kills, 22 digs and 5 blocks in a pair of wins.
JT O’Neil, New Canaan Lacrosse. O’Neil won 14 of 16 draws in the Rams’ 8-4 win over rival Darien.
Noah Saed, Staples Baseball. Saed pitched a complete-game two-hitter, with eight strikeouts, in a 5-0 win over Wilton.
Here are the female finalists:
Taylor Black, Staples Track. Black ran a season-best 1:00.26 to win the 400 in a meet against Brien McMahon and placed fifth in the 200 at the New BalanceTrack Night NYC Invitational.
Sonia Gaughran, Ridgefield Softball. Gaughran went 6 for 12, with a home run, two doubles and 8 RBIs during a 2-1 week.
Ava Russo, Fairfield Warde Softball. Russo hit .462 with four RBIs in four wins.
Alexa Smith, Brien McMahon Softball: Smith went 6 for 8 with three walks, a home run and a stolen base in three games.
Katie Walsh, Darien Lacrosse. Walsh scored four goals in a 9-2 win over rival New Canaan.
