We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

James Cohen, Brien McMahon Cross Country. Cohen won a meet with Darien, Ridgefield and Fairfield Ludlowe in 14:44.70.

Hector Lopez, Greenwich Football. Lopez rushed 23 times for 234 yards and two scores and had two catches for 25 yards in a 27-18 win over Norwalk.

Jake Padilla, Wilton Football. Padilla finished with four interceptions, tied for second most in a game in state history, in a 35-12 win over Trumbull.

Gus Palmer, Staples Golf. Palmer shot a 3-under-par 32 to win medalist honors and lead the Wreckers to a program-record 135 in a win over New Canaan.

Andrew Shelov, Fairfield Warde Football. Shelov caught 11 passes for 130 yards and two scores in a 32-0 win over Bullard Havens.

Tristan Spain, St. Joseph Football. Spain ran for three touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Danbury.

Here are the female finalists:

Ariana Gmelin, Ridgefield Soccer. Gmelin, a freshman, came off the bench to score two goals and spark the Tigers to a 4-0 win over Brien McMahon.

Clare Greisen, New Canaan Soccer. Greisen scored all five goals in a 5-1 win over Wilton and two in a loss to Greenwich.

Callie McGillicuddy, Trumbull Volleyball. McGillicuddy finished with 21 assists and six aces in a straight-set win over Danbury.

Aitana Perez, Danbury Soccer. Perez scored three goals in a 6-0 win over Wilton.

Clara Ojea Quintana, Greenwich Field Hockey. Quintana finished with seven goals and an assist in three wins.

Angela Russell, Westhill Volleyball. Russell had 39 digs in a four-set win over Ridgefield.
