We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Jules Cicero, Staples Baseball. Cicero went 9 for 12 with three home runs, 10 RBIs and three stolen bases in three games.
Jake Coppola, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Coppola had two hits, including a game-tying home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, in a win over Fairfield Ludlowe and a three-run triple in a win over Darien.
Aidan Dube, Westhill Baseball. Dube went 7 for 9, with two doubles, a home run, four RBIs and five runs scored in three games.
Jacob Fields, Norwalk Baseball. Fields had five hits and drove in seven runs in three games.
Trevor Galligan, Wilton Lacrosse. Galligan, the team’s goaltender, scored two long goals in a win over Greenwich.
Blake Wilson, Darien Lacrosse. Wilson stopped 12 shots in an 8-5 win over Staples.
Here are the female finalists:
Grace Campbell, Trumbull Lacrosse. Campbell finished with seven goals and two assists in a 13-4 win over St. Joseph and eight goals in a win over Bethel.
Julia Fekete, Fairfield Warde Softball. Fekete, the Mustangs’ catcher, went 8 for 11, with six RBIs, threw out three runners and picked off two others in three games.
Caitlin Mahoney, Greenwich Tennis. Mahoney won three matches at No. 2 singles to remain unbeaten at 60-0 during her career.
Emma Nichols, Darien Tennis. Nichols, a freshman, had three wins at No. 2 singles to improve to 14-1.
Sa’Moi Redway, Danbury Track. Redway, a freshman, won the 100, 200 and was part of the winning 4×100 relay in a win over Stamford.
Sadie Wilde, Westhill Softball. Wilde hit two home runs, including a two-run shot in the eight inning of a 12-10 win over Stamford.
