Nick Bartels of the Greenwich boys soccer team and Anne Margaret Eilertsen of the Stamford volleyball team are the first BlueStreak-Ruden Report Players of the Week for the 2014-15 season.
Bartels and Eilersten will each receive T-shirts and plaques from BlueStreak Sports Training.
Bartels scored five of the Cardinals’ eight goals in wins over Ridgefield and Warren Harding.
Eilersten finished with 69 kills, 25 service points, 20 digs and seven blocks in wins over Weston, Fairfield Warde and Westhill.
The deadline to nominate an athlete is Monday at noon. Send an email to rudenreport@icloud.com with the name of the person you are nominating. Please include all of the player’s statistics/times/results for the week as well as the team results.
The award will be judged on games/matches/meets played Monday through Saturday of each week. Please wait until an athlete is done competing for the week to submit your nomination.
