In a vote that yielded no real surprises, Darien took home both individual boys basketball awards as center Alex Preston was selected Player of the Year by FCIAC coaches and Charoy Bentley was named Coach of the Year.
Darien finished with the second-best league record during the regular season before losing to Danbury in the opening round of the conference playoffs.
