FCIAC Releases 2019 Football Schedule

The FCIAC released its 2019 football schedule today. The season opens on the weekend of Sept. 13-14.

Greenwich, the defending Class LL champion and No. 1 team in the state, opens at home against Danbury.

St. Joseph, the Class M champion, kicks off on the road at Brien McMahon.

New Canaan, which lost to the Cardinals in the Class LL final, travels to New London in one of seventeen non-league alliance games.

Darien and New Canaan switched divisions this year. The Cardinals and Rams will not meet during the regular season in the so-called Marinelli Bowl for the first time since John Marinelli took over at Greenwich four years ago.

Trumbull, which will face Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan and St. Joseph, for the second straight year appears to have the most difficult schedule.

The regular season ends with Thanksgiving rivalry games on Nov. 28.
