St. Joseph’s Maddie Fried and Brien McMahon’s Peyton McNamara were named to the All-American girls soccer team by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
Fried, a junior captain, finished with 26 goals and 14 assists this past season and has 64 goals and 43 assists in her career. Fried has been both an All-FCIAC and All-State selection all three seasons with the Cadets. She has been named to the All-New England team the past two seasons.
“Maddie is one of the best players I’ve ever coached here at St. Joe’s,” Cadets coach Jack Nogueira said in a press release. “She’s had a fantastic three years, winning a state championship and an FCIAC Championship.”
Fried has given a verbal commitment to play at Villanova.
McNamara set the Senators’ school scoring record and finished the season with 11 goals and nine assists. McNamara is also a multi-year All-FCIAC and All-State pick.
McNamara will play next year at Ohio State.
