A new Fun Facts with Ridgefield girls soccer goalkeeper Kelly Chittenden.

— What are you most excited about going to play at Delaware? I’m most excited for being challenged at UD and working hard to reach my goals. I am also super excited to play with my future teammates and be pushed hard.

— What was it like when you found out the team had to quarantine for two weeks after playing McMahon? I was heartbroken because we already had a shortened season and I thought there was a chance our season would be over.

— How has the pandemic limited your senior year soccer experience? Covid has made my senior season a lot shorter, which has made it fly by a lot faster than I expected.

— What is your favorite local restaurant and what do you order? Early Bird — french toast.

— What are you planning on majoring in and why? I am planning on majoring in exercise science because I plan on becoming a physical therapist.

— If you could have dinner with any celebrity who would it be and why? I would go with Shaq because he is really funny.

— How has losing two weeks of games/practices and of your season affected you and your team? Losing games/practice has made my team and I more motivated to win our final games in the upcoming week.
