Podcast: Second-Chance Points — Season Preview
Dave Ruden
01.03.2022

On the debut episode of Second-Chance Points, co-host Mike Walsh and I preview the upcoming FCIAC boys basketball season.
Second-Chance Points is the first offering from the new Ruden Report Podcast Network. Each week, former Trinity Catholic coach Mike Walsh and I will break down the FCIAC boys basketball season.
Walsh finished a 40-year career with 650 wins. The first 633, the fourth-most in state history, came with Trinity’s boys program. Walsh helped the Crusaders reach the state final 13 times and the FCIAC championship on 11 occasions, all after 1993, when they won their first conference title. Trinity under Walsh won seven state and six league titles.
After retiring in 2018 but agreeing to stay on as an assistant, Walsh was asked to coach the school’s girls team that December after Mike Martino unexpectedly stepped down. Walsh led the team to 17 more wins and the Class S title.
Thanks to Cooper Boardman for handling the sound editing and production.
