Nick Roberts of the Trumbull football team and Mirei Kato of the Greenwich volleyball team are this week’s BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Players of the Week, presented by Chicken Joe’s.
Roberts and Kato will each receive T-shirts and plaques from BlueStreak Sports Training and $25 gift certificates from Chicken Joe’s in New Canaan.
Roberts threw for 363 yards and a school-record 6 touchdowns in the Eagles’ 49-16 win over Westhill.
Kato had 14 kills, 10 service points and 16 digs as the Cardinals defeated Darien in a battle of unbeaten teams, and finished the week with 43 kills, 18 service points and 22 digs in three matches.
