Rolling A 7: Vote For The Ruden Report Team Of The Week

Great 8: Vote for the Ruden Report Team of the Week

We have seven teams on the menu this week for The Ruden Report FCIAC Team of the Week vote.

Your finalists are: the Westhill girls basketball, Bridgeport Central boys basketball, St. Joseph girls basketball, New Canaan boys hockey, St. Joseph cheerleading, Stamford cheerleading and Danbury cheerleading teams.

The winning team will get our T shirts, courtesy of our sponsors: BlueStreak Sports Training, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, Riko’s Pizza, Bobby V’s Sports Bar, Chicken Joe’s of New Canaan, Zody’s 19th Hole, Building Blocks, New Balance of New Canaan, The Concussion Center of Fairfield County, The CT Center for Advanced ENT Care, Anytime Fitness, Bankwell and Resource Management Group.

We usually don’t have two teams from a school in a week, but we had already announced the St. Joseph girls basketball team as a finalist before we became aware of Saturday’s state cheerleading finals and didn’t want to exclude either team.

The Vikings won two games, including one against Stamford, to reach the state quarterfinals.

The Hilltoppers defeated Stamford and Greenwich to win their second straight FCIAC title.

The Cadets won two games to reach the state quarterfinals.
