After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past three months, starting on Sunday morning it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected seven outstanding male and five female finalists for the Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank FCIAC Winter Male and Female Player of the Year awards.
The winners will receive special custom-made T shirts with the players’ names and uniform numbers on the back.
The finalists — limited to one athlete per school for each gender — were compiled after talking to and getting recommendations from league coaches in each sport, as well as personal observations.
The seven male finalists are:
Kevin Bradley, Norwalk Swimming
Nick Cullinan, Ridgefield Hockey
Chet Ellis, Staples Track
Ben Feldman, Westhill/Stamford Swimming
Malcolm Going, Danbury Track
Timmond Williams, Trumbull Basketball
Tyler Sung, New Canaan Wrestling
The five female finalists are:
Jess Eccleston, New Canaan Hockey
Iyanna Lops, Trinity Catholic Basketball
Mari Noble Greenwich Track
Allie Palmieri, Trumbull Basketball
Tess Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track
The voting will run from Sunday morning until noon on Wednesday, so check back and be prepared to vote.
