St. Joseph’s Jack Nogueira has been named as one of six coaches to participate in the third annual High School All-American Girls Soccer Game on Dec. 5 at Cardinal Gibbons High, in Raleigh, N.C. It is possible that one of his players in the game will be his current star, forward Jenna Bike.
Bike, named the Gatorade Player of the Year last season as a junior and a member of the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National team, is one of four players from Connecticut and the only one from the FCIAC on the East Watch List.
The teams will be decided on Oct. 30.
Nogueira has helped build the Cadets into one of the state’s top programs. They have won three league and three state titles since 2007.
The All-American Game is being held the same weekend and in the same location as the women’s NCAA Division I College Cup.
Bike has scored five goals so far this season for St. Joseph (4-0).
Nick Bartels of Greenwich is the only FCIAC player named to the East Watch List for the boys game.
