Super 6: Vote for the BlueStreak-Ruden Report Fall Female Player of the Year

After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past two months, it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected six outstanding finalists for our BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Fall Female Player of the Year award.

The winner will receive a trophy from BlueStreak Sports Training and The Ruden Report.

Here are the finalists, who were all named to the All-FCIAC and All-State teams, and their accomplishments (based on information submitted by coaches):

CASEY BOATWRIGHT, FAIRFIELD LUDLOWE VOLLEYBALL: Boatwright finished the season with 256 kills, 98 blocks, 51 aces, 146 service and 59 digs.

RACHEL BURSTON, WESTHILL SWIMMING: Burston, a diver, was undefeated in dual meets, and won FCIAC, Class LL and State Open championships, with meet records in the latter two events. Burston also set school records for both 6 dives and 11 dives.

HANNAH DEBALSI, STAPLES CROSS COUNTRY: DeBalsi is undefeated on the season, shattering course records in winning the FCIAC, Class LL, State Open and New England Championships.

SAMI GRASSO, ST. JOSEPH GIRLS SOCCER: Grasso finished with 22 goals and 14 assists to lead the Cadets to an unbeaten season and league and state championships. She was selected the most valuable player in the state final.

MADISON HENDRY: WILTON FIELD HOCKEY: Hendry finished with 20 goals and 23 assists to help lead the Warriors to their third straight state championship.

MIREI KATO, GREENWICH VOLLEYBALL: The only four-year starter in program history, Kato finished with 309 kills, 149 digs and 238 service points.

Those are the six finalists. You have until noon on Wednesday to select the 2013 BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Fall Female Player of the Year.
