Trumbull’s Black Hole Wins 8th Annual Fan Showdown

Trumbull’s Black Hole is the winner of the 8th annual Ruden Report Fan Showdown, presented by Splash Car Wash.
It is Trumbull’s third win in the last four years. The Black Hole finished with 6 points, just .5 points ahead of Greenwich, last year’s winner. Darien, which easily won the voting competition, finished in third place, while Ridgefield and Wilton tied for fourth.
The Trumbull athletic department will receive $500, courtesy of Splash Car Wash.

Darien, the only school picked by all five judges in the top three, won the video competition with 12 points. Darien was the top pick by three judges. Ridgefield and Wilton, which each got one first-place vote, tied for second with six points. Trumbull finished fourth, while Greenwich and Ludlowe tied for fifth.
Greenwich won the voting competition, followed by Trumbull and Fairfield Warde.

Most of all, thanks to all the schools that competed. It was a lot of fun and it added further evidence that there is a lot of loyal school spirit in the FCIAC, not to mention many talented and creative videographers.
We look forward to holding the ninth edition of this contest next year.
