Last season the Fairfield Ludlowe volleyball team claimed a share of its first FCIAC title, with Darien, which had won every league championship in the sport, save for one year, since 1993.
The Falcons graduated a lot of talent, but there is still optimism that they can make a run at their first outright crown. A recent visit to the school’s gymnasium was like a walk through a forest, with 6-footers abounding.
One of Ludlowe’s top players will be co-captain Pauline Blatt, who is stepping up to a more featured role this season.
The Ruden Report caught up with Blatt on the eve of the season to talk about the Falcons’ hopes — and expectations.
