We have five male and five female finalists for the Athletic Gaines-Ruden Report Male and Female Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.
Here are the male finalists:
Terry Forrester, Stamford Football. Forester threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in a 32-10 win over Trinity Catholic.
Mike Neary, Darien Football. Neary had three sacks in a 42-10 win over St. Joseph.
Drew Pyne, New Canaan Football. Pyne completed 16 of 22 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 73 yards and another score in a 61-14 win over Trumbull.
J.T. Siano, Ridgefield Soccer. Siano scored the deciding goal in a 1-0 win over Greenwich.
Ben van der Merwe, Staples Football. van der Merwe kicked a 48-yard field goal before halftime in a 44-7 win over Brien McMahon.
Here are the female finalists:
Juliette Mangini, Greenwich Swimming. Mangini won the 50 and 100 free and was part of two first-place relays in 107-68 win over Danbury.
Shannon McEveny, Norwalk Field Hockey. McEveny finished with 4 goals and 1 assist in a win over Warde and 2 assists in a win over Ridgefield.
Chloe Ortolano, Brien McMahon Soccer. Ortolano scored 3 goals in a 6-0 win over Stamford.
Sydney Schrenker, Darien Field Hockey. Schrenker scored hat tricks in wins over Danbury and Trumbull.
Elaina Tiller, New Canaan Cross Country. Tiller was the individual winner in a meet against Darien, Staples and Norwalk in 16:28.94.
