Vote For The BlueStreak-Ruden Report Fall Male Player Of The Year

After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past two months, it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected four outstanding finalists for our BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Fall Male Player of the Year award.

The winner will receive a custom-made long-sleeve T shirt with name and uniform number on the back.

Here are the finalists, who were all named to the All-FCIAC teams, and their accomplishments (based on information submitted by coaches).

Zakeer Ahmad, Staples Cross Country: Ahmad swept the FCIAC, Class LL and State Open championships, and finished third at the New England Championships, leading the Wreckers to the team titles in all four events.

Thang Dao, Trumbull Soccer: Dao finished with 9 goals and 7 assists and was the leader at midfield as the Eagles shared the FCIAC title and was undefeated until the state quarterfinals.

Alejandro MacLean, Greenwich Soccer: MacLean finished with 12 goals and 9 assists to lead the Cardinals to a share of the FCIAC title and an unbeaten record until the state quarterfinals.

Pablo Martinez, Darien Soccer: Despite an injury-plagued season, Martinez finished with 12 goals and 9 assists to lead the Blue Wave back to both postseason tournaments.

Those are the four finalists. You have until noon on Wednesday to select the BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Fall Male Player of the Year.
