We have six male and female finalists for the BlueStreak-Ruden Report Players of the Week.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will receive our Player of the Week T-shirts.
Here are the male finalists:
Ben Fero, Trumbull Baseball. Fero pitched a four-hitter and struck out 12 in an 8-2 win over unbeaten Staples.
John MacDonald, Westhill Baseball. MacDonald pitched a five-inning perfect game in a 10-0 win over Danbury.
Aidan Wykoff, Fairfield Ludlowe Lacrosse. Wykoff scored 6 goals in a 15-8 win over Kennedy Catholic.
Logan McGovern, Darien Lacrosse. McGovern finished with 8 goals and 8 assists in two wins to reach the 200-goal mark for his career.
Brendan Skewis, Wilton Baseball. Skewis pitched a complete-game four-hitter in a 3-1 win over unbeaten St. Joseph.
Cristian Perez, Greenwich Baseball. Perez delivered the game-winning hits in consecutive games again Fairfield Ludlowe and Ridgefield.
Here are the female finalists:
Hailey King, Darien Softball. King went 7 for 13 and drove in 6 runs.
Eva Greco, Wilton Lacrosse. Greco’s 7th goal of the game in overtime helped the Warriors defeat Greenwich. Greco scored three goals in a win over Fairfield Warde.
Savannah Bromley, Brien McMahon Track. Bromley won the 200 meters, 300 hurdles was part of a winning 4×400 relay team and was second in the high jump in a meet against Fairfield Warde and Darien.
Hannah Hutchison, St. Joseph Softball. Hutchison went 7 for 13 from the leadoff spots in the Cadets’ three wins.
Genevieve DeWinter, Greenwich Lacrosse. DeWinter finished with 5 goals and 2 assists in a win over Trumbull and 3 goals in an overtime loss to Greenwich.
Katie Hoban, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Hoban finished with 3 goals and 3 assists in a 12-8 win over Staples.
