After a long list of memorable accomplishments over the past two months, it is time for you to decide who was the very best of the best. We have selected six outstanding finalists for our BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Spring Male Player of the Year award.
The winner will receive a trophy from BlueStreak Sports Training and The Ruden Report.
Here are the finalists, who were all named to the All-FCIAC and All-State teams, and their accomplishments (based on information submitted by coaches):
NOAH FARRELL, WILTON TENNIS: Farrell won his fourth straight state championship.
KYLE FOOTE, GREENWICH LACROSSE: Foote finished with 28 goals, 21 assists and 28 ground balls before sustaining a season-ending injury in the FCIAC championship game.
PETER LINDLEY, DARIEN LACROSSE: Lindley finished with 60 goals and 19 assists.
RANDY POLONIA, TRINITY CATHOLIC BASEBALL: Polonia batted .479 and as a pitcher had a 6-1 record and 1.27 earned run average. He was named FCIAC Player of the Year.
JON SPICCI, RIDGEFIELD GOLF: Spicci had an 18-1 record, tied for first at the FCIAC championship, won the Holohan Tournament and finished second at the state championship.
HARRY STANTON, NEW CANAAN LACROSSE: Stanton finished with 59 goals and 17 assists.
Those are the six finalists. You have until noon on Wednesday to select the 2013 BlueStreak-Ruden Report FCIAC Spring Male Player of the Year.
