We have four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week vote. The polls close at noon on Wednesday. The winners will receive POTW T-shirts.
Here are the finalists:
Lindsay Bennett, Darien Volleyball. Bennett finished with eight kills, 14 digs and 16 service points in a 3-1 loss to Amity in the Class LL final.
Lauren Castle, Ridgefield Girls Soccer. Castle stopped seven shots, including one on a breakaway in the final seconds, in a 1-0 win over Staples for the Tigers’ second straight state title. Castle was named MVP.
Kyle Kirby, Staples Field Hockey. Kirby scored both goals to lead the Wreckers to their third straight state title with a 2-0 win over Cheshire.
Meghan Lynch, Greenwich Swimming. Lynch won the 200 IM, 100 breaststroke and was part off a winning 400 free relay team as the Cardinals won the State Open title.
