We have six male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.
The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.
Here are the male finalists:
Rudy MacDaniel, Trumbull Boys Soccer. MacDaniel scored twice in a 4-1 win over Staples.
Jeff Magalhaes, Danbury Soccer. Magheales finished with two goals and an assist in a 6-1 win over Darien.
Peter Reyes, Wilton Football. Reyes scored three touchdowns in a 49-7 win over Tolland.
Zachary Weiner, Fairfield Ludlowe Soccer. Weiner scored the goal in a 1-0 victory over Stamford.
Christian Zawislack, Greenwich Cross Country. Zawislack took first place in a meet with Darien, New Canaan and Fairfield Ludlowe.
Here are the female finalists:
Hannah Chuckas, Westhill/Stamford Swimming. Chuckas shattered a 25-year-old team record by nearly 62 points for six dives with a score of 291.52.
Meg Erickson, Darien Swimming. Erickson won the 500 free, 100 back and was part of two winning relays in a victory over Wilton.
Caroline Marcus, Fairfield Warde Soccer. Marcus finished with three goals and two assists in a pair of wins.
Annam Olasewere, Staples Swimming. Olasewere won the 50- and 100-meter freestyle and was part of two winning relays in a victory over Fairfield Ludlowe.
Ali Pennella, Greenwich Soccer. Penella scored the lone goal and had a strong match in a 1-0 win over unbeaten Ridgefield.
Cam Roth, Trumbull Volleyball. Roth finished with 10 kills and 15 digs in a straight set win over unbeaten Greenwich.
