Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Walker BlairNew Canaan Football. Blair had an interception and helped lead a defensive effort that allowed just 53 yards in a 45-0 win over Norwalk.

Ryder Gatenby, Fairfield Ludlowe Soccer. Gatenby’s first career goal was the difference in a 1-0 win over town rival Fairfield Warde.

Maycol MejíaBrien McMahon Soccer. Mejia scored twice in a 3-2 win over Fairfield Warde.

Caleb SmithStaples Football. Smith threw for 224 yards and two scores and ran for 113 yards and two scores in a 42-21 win over Danbury.

Jack Wilson, Greenwich Football. Wilson completed 16 of 23 passes for 249 yards and a score and carried the ball six times for 83 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-26 win over St. Joseph.

Here are the female finalists:

Charlotte BelloStamford Soccer. Bello scored four goals in three games, including a pair of game-winners.

Kate Bock, Darien Field Hockey. Boch finished with two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over New Canaan.

Kathryn MarchandTrumbull Cross Country. Marchand took first place in 19:05.92 in a meet against Staples, Stamford and Darien.

Lily MaloneFairfield Ludlowe Swimming. Malone won the 50 and 100 freestyles and was part of two winning relay teams.

Klara Mueffelmann, Greenwich Field Hockey. Mueffelmann, the FCIAC’s leading scorer, had 10 goals in three wins, and now has five four-goal games this season.

Paige Shaughnessy, Fairfield Warde Soccer. Shaughnessy accounted for three of the Mustangs’ five goals in a win and tie.
