Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and nine female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Whitaker Grover, Greenwich Swimming. Grover won the diving competition with a score of 317 in a win over Norwalk/McMahon.

Parker Lenoce, Staples Swimming. Lenoce won the 200 and 100 freestyles in a meet with Staples, setting a new Staples pool record of 1:53.57 and beating last year’s state champion by a half second. Leonce also swam the lead backstroke leg on Staples’ victorious 200 medley relay.

David Melson, Fairfield Warde Basketball. David Melson finished with 23 points and eight rebounds in a win over Darien.

Nikolai Naydenov, Wilton Hockey. Naydenov scored three goals in a 7-4 win over Fox Lane.

Cam Perkins, Danbury Basketball. Perkins scored 36 points in a win over St. Joseph.

Sean Racette, Trumbull Basketball. Sean Racette scored 45 points in a pair of wins.

Here are the female finalists:

Amanda BensonNew Canaan Hockey. Benson finished with two goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Stamford/Westhill/Staples.

Rylee Donohue, Norwalk Wrestling. Donohue won the 126-pound title at the Queen of the Mat state girls wrestling championships.

Carolyn Frankle, Greenwich Basketball. Frankle finished with 36 points, seven assists, 13 steals, two blocks and six rebounds as the Cardinals went 2-1 in three games

Calli Gilchrist, Brien McMahon Wrestling. Gilchrist won the 114-pound title at the Queen of the Mat state girls wrestling championships.

Anna GillanRidgefield Basketball.  Gillan finished with 33 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals in two games.

Ryanne Gulbin, Fairfield Warde Basketball. Gulbin hit six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points, five rebounds, three steals and four assists in a win over Greenwich.

Erin Lovett, St. Joseph Girls Basketball. Lovett finished with 49 points and 29 rebounds in a pair of wins.

Madison Roman, Fairfield Ludlowe Basketball. Roman had a triple double in a win over Hillhouse and a double double in a win over Staples.

Samantha Yap, Stamford Wrestling. Yap won the 107-pound title at the Queen of the Mat state girls wrestling championships.
