Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have nine male and 10 female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Jamar Alcena, Norwalk Track. Alcena won the 55-meter dash in 6.60 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Gianluca Bianchi, Greenwich Track. Bianchi set a meet record with a time of 35.41 in the 300 meters and was part of a winning 4×400 relay team at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Parker Broderick, Fairfield Warde Track. Broderick won the 1,000-meter run in 2:32.41 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

David Carillo, Trumbull Track. Carillo won the two-mile run in 9:43.61 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Michael Hemmings, Bridgeport Central Track. Hemmings won the high jump with a 5-10 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Charles Prescott, Brien McMahon Track. Prescott won the 600-meter run in 1:26.89 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Jonas Varnas, Staples Track. Varnas won the 55-meter hurdles in 8.24 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Andre Weist, Wilton Track. West won the shotput with a throw of 49-4.75 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Lucas Williams, Ridgefield Track. Williams won the pole vault at 13-0 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Here are the female finalists:

Meg Barnouw, Fairfield Warde Track. Barnouw won the high jump at 5-4 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Julia Blake, Darien Track. Blake won the 1,000 meters in 3:00.16 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Kate Friedman, Greenwich Track. Friedman won the one-mile run in 5:26.45 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Kathryn Marchand, Trumbull Track. Marchand won the two-mile run in 11:36.32 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Samantha Philipp, Norwalk Basketball. Phillip averaged 24 points, five rebounds and four steals in leading the Bears to a pair of wins.

Jill Roberts, Wilton Track. Roberts won the 55-meter dash in 7.23, the 55-meter hurdles in 8.34 and was third in the 300 meters at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Lauren Smith, New Canaan Track. Smith won the shotput with a throw of 35-5.75 at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Tia Stapleton, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Stapleton won the long jump at 17-4 and was third in the high jump at the FCIAC Track Championships.

Avi Steele, Danbury Cheerleading. Steele was the high scorer to help the Hatters win the FCIAC cheerleading title.

Francine Stevens, Staples Track. Stevens won the 300-meter dash in 41.42, was part of a winning 4×200 relay team and was second in the 55 meters at the FCIAC Track Championships.
