Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the finalists:

Brendan Gilchrist, Norwalk Wrestling. Gilchrist won the 195-pound at the New England Championships to complete an undefeated season.

Finley Hegarty, Darien Boys Hockey. Hegarty had a shutout in goal and was named MVP in leading the Blue Wave to a 3-0 win over Fairfield for the FCIAC title.

Christian Jeffers, Danbury Boys Basketball. Jeffers scored 25 points and had a strong defensive performance to lead the Hatters to a 69-53 win over Staples for the FCIAC title.

Emma Johnson, Fairfield Warde Gymnastics. Johnson won the all around title at then State Open meet with a score of 37.75.

Parker Lenoce, Staples Boys Swimming. Lenoce won the 200 free and 100 back and was on the winning 200 free relay and second-place 200 medley relay teams. He set a new FCIAC record in the 100 backstroke and earned All-American honors.

Erin Lovett, St. Joseph Girls Basketball. Lovett averaged 25 points, 15 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 3.5 steals in a pair of state tournament wins.

Grover Whitaker, Greenwich Swimming. Whitaker defended his FCIAC diving title with a score of 560 points.
