Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Mikey Brescia, Greenwich Lacrosse. Brescia finished with four goals and an assist in a 12-8 win over Weston.

Tommy Capizzuto, Trumbull Lacrosse. Cappizzuto finished with six goals and five assists in a win over Danbury.

Aiden Dowd, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Dowd pitched five innings of shutout ball, allowing one hit, and had a hit and three RBIs in a 7-1 win over Amity.

Griffin Gentner, New Canaan Lacrosse. Gentner scored four goals in a 7-6 win over Rumson (NJ).

Brady Pokorny, Darien Lacrosse. Pokorny finished with three goals, including the game-winner with 1.7 seconds left, and four assists in a 12-11 win over No. 1 Brunswick.

Hiro Wyatt, Staples Baseball. Wyatt pitched five shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out 13, and added two hits, including a homer, in an 8-0 win over Greenwich.

Zach Stiebel, Westhill Lacrosse. Stiebel scored six goals in the team’s first win over McMahon and finished with 10 goals and an assist in three games.


Here are the female finalists:

Caroline Hall, Trumbull Softball. Hall went 7 for 8 with seven runs, a home run and two doubles in a pair of wins.

Sydney Patten, New Canaan Lacrosse. Patten finished with three goals and an assist in an 18-4 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Chloe Trimandilis, Danbury Softball. Trimandilis homered twice and was intentionally walked twice in a 4-3 loss to New Milford.

Chelsea Villar, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Villar went 2 for 2 with a home run, two runs and two walks in a 2-1 win over Masuk.
