Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Carson Brunone, Trumbull Volleyball. Brunone had 28 assists in a win over St. Joseph, hitting the 1,000 mark for his career.

Ryder Gatenby, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Gatenby won the 100 (in a school record time), 200, long jump and high jump in a meet against Stamford.

Carter Hagen, Darien Lacrosse. Hagen stopped 10 shots as the Blue Wave rallied for an 11-7 win over New Canaan.

Sawyer Makl, Staples Volleyball. Makl had 20 kills, 12 digs and two aces in a win over Norwalk.

Tim Martin, Wilton Baseball. Miller threw an eight-inning no-hitter against Danbury for a 1-0 win.

Sam Rosa, St. Joseph Lacrosse. Rosa scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime against Weston.


Maddie Collins, Norwalk Softball. Collins threw a two-hitter in a win over Westhill and six-hitter with just one earned run allowed in a win over St. Joseph, while going four for eight with a home run and six RBIs.

Lauren Fico, New Canaan Softball. Fico went seven for nine, with three RBIs and five runs scored.

Malin Medeiros, Darien Softball. Medeiros went 2-1 with 29 strikeouts and hit .666, with eight hits, including four doubles, and 10 RBIs.

Griffin Palladino, Fairfield Warde Softball. Palladino, a catcher, batted .555 with two home runs and eight RBIs in three games, and threw out two runners at the plate.

Molly Snow, Wilton Lacrosse. Snow had four goals and seven assists in a 15-goal win over Ridgefield.

Grace Winkler, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Winkler finished with eight goals and two assists in a win and loss.
