Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and four female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Mikey Brescia, Greenwich Lacrosse. Brescia had five goals and six assists in a win over Norwalk.

Holden Busby, New Canaan Lacrosse. Busby made eight saves in an 8-6 win over Wilton.

Brennan Cutter, Trumbull Volleyball. Cutter finished with 14 kills, five blocks and four aces in a three-set win over New Canaan.

Carson Swaim, Fairfield Warde Baseball. Swaim had two hits and four RBIs, including a bases loaded double in the 10th inning to lead the Mustangs to an 8-2 win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Ian Swiatiwicz, Ridgefield Volleyball. Swiatiwicz finished with 11 kills and five blocks in a four-set loss to Darien.

Hiro Wyatt, Staples Baseball. Wyatt pitched a complete-game one-hitter with 18 strikeouts and had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs in a 9-0 win over Norwalk.


Here are the female finalists:

Ivanna Diez de bonilla, Greenwich Tennis. Diez de bonilla, who plays at No. 2 singles, went 3-0, including a win over Stamford’s No. 1 player, to complete the regular season unbeaten.

Ceci Patterson, New Canaan Lacrosse. Patterson made eight saves in a 13-6 win over Wilton.

Maddie Pickett, Ridgefield Softball. Pickett allowed five hits and just two earned runs in a 6-3 win over St. Joseph.

Ellie Price & Maggie Murphy, Fairfield Ludlowe Tennis. Price and Murphy went 3-0 to finish the regular season undefeated.
