Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have eight male and nine female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Tyler Bartlett, Fairfield Ludlowe Track. Bartlett won the 800 meters at the Class L championships.

Gianluca Bianchi, Greenwich Track. Bianchi won the 400 meters in a meet record at the Class LL championships.

Tyler Clark, Staples Lacrosse. Clark finished with three goals and four assists and set the school assist record in a Class L quarterfinal win over Glastonbury.

Ryan Connelly, New Canaan Lacrosse. Connelly scored four goals and added an assist in a Class L quarterfinal win over Wilton.

Steven Hergenrother, Ridgefield Track. Hergenrother won the 1,600 at the Class LL championships.

Kyle Kipp, Westhill Baseball. Kipp had two complete-game wins in the Class LL Tournament, allowing just a combined four hits and one earned run, with 16 strikeouts.

Brady Pokorny, Darien Lacrosse. Pokorny finished with three goals and four assists in a Class L quarterfinal win over Ridgefield.

Marques Singleton, Brien McMahon Track. Singleton won the shotput at the Class LL championships.


Here are the female finalists:

Meg Barnouw, Fairfield Warde Track. Barnouw won the high jump at the Class L championships.

Casondra Caldwell, Bridgeport Central Track. Caldwell won the long jump at the Class LL championships.

Grace Codd, Trumbull Golf. Codd shot an 80 and was medalist in helping the Eagles win the FCIAC Championship.

Niamh Dougherty, St. Joseph Softball. Dougherty went four for six with eight RBIs in a pair of state tournament games.

Kyra Dybas, Greenwich Tennis. Dybas went 3-0 during the state playoffs and was tied when the final was clinched.

Anna Gedacht, Fairfield Ludlowe Softball. Gedacht saved the Falcons’ two Class LL Tournament wins, with 14 strikeouts.

Jill Roberts, Wilton Track. Roberts won the 100 hurdles at the Class L championships.

Aaciya Sonthonnax, New Canaan Tennis. Sonthonnax clinched the Rams’ Class L semifinal win over Darien and is unbeaten this season.

Grace Winkler, Ridgefield Lacrosse. Winkler finished with 11 goals, two assists and eight draw controls in a pair of Class L Tournament games.
