Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have five male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Santi Alfageme, Staples Soccer. Alfageme scored on a set piece in one win and led the Staples defense to a pair of shutout victories.

Jonathan Hall, Trumbull Football. Hall scored on runs of 46 and 25 yards in the fourth quarter of a 28-20 win over Danbury.

Matt Maloney, Greenwich Soccer. Maloney scored three goals in a pair of wins for the unbeaten Cardinals.

Charlie Schwind, Darien Golf. Schwind shot a one-over-par 37 to help the Blue Wave remain unbeaten with a win over Fairfield Ludlowe.

Noel Vargas, Stamford Soccer. Vargas scored five of the Black Knights’ eight goals in a pair of wins.


Here are the female finalists:

Amaya Acevedo, Brien McMahon Volleyball. Acevedo finished with 98 assists and 34 digs in three matches.

Hayley Dionis, Greenwich Volleyball. Dionis had 38 digs in three 3-0 wins.

Laila Henry, Fairfield Warde Volleyball. Henry had 26 assists, 23 service points, seven digs and four kills in a sweep of Weston.

Sammi Henske, Staples Soccer. Henske recorded shutouts in two wins and a draw for the Wreckers.

Taylor Lilly, Trumbull Soccer. Lilly scored twice in a 3-1 win over Fairfield Warde.

Blake Wilks, Darien Field Hockey. Wilks had two goals and an assist in a 3-1 win over New Canaan.
