Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have eight male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Kyle Colsey, Ridgefield Football. Colsey finished with 338 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in the Tigers’ 53-44 loss to Fairfield Ludlowe.

Jahiem Daniels, Brien McMahon Football. Daniels rushed for 127 yards and two scores, had a 30-yard reception, blocked a punt that he returned for a score and had six tackles in a 41-6 win over Westhill.

Rocco GrilloGreenwich Football. Grillo was 20 of 29 for 186 yards and two scores and ran for another in a 30-14 win over Darien.

Jake Hull, Trumbull Football. Hull had three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in a 35-13 win over Fairfield Warde.

Fabian Reynoso, Danbury Football. Reynoso, a freshman linebacker, finished with 14 tackles, one sack and one interception in a come-from-behind overtime win over Norwalk.

Caleb Smith, Staples Football. Smith carried the ball 30 times for 113 yards and three scores and threw for 71 yards and another in a 29-22 win over Wilton.

Brooks Thompson, New Canaan Golf. Thompson shot a one-under par 35 at E. Gaynor Brennan to lead a win over Westhill.

Justin Toothaker, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Toothaker finished with 263 all-purpose yards and the Falcons’ first three touchdowns in a 53-44 win over Ridgefield.


Here are the female finalists:

Annabel Edwards, Staples Soccer. Edwards had two assists in a win over Fairfield Ludlowe and both goals in a win over Trumbull.

Payton Foster, Greenwich Swimming. Foster won the 100 and 200 freestyle races in a win over Darien.

Ariana Gjonbalaj, Trumbull Volleyball. Gjonbalaj finished with 21 kills, five blocks and four aces in a four-set win over St. Joseph and 15 kills in a four-set win over Greenwich.

Ella Gussen, Fairfield Ludlowe Swimming. Gussen won the 200 and 400 freestyle races in a meet with Ridgefield.

Jami Wilkenloh, Ridgefield Volleyball. Wilkenloh finished with 18 kills in a five-set win over Wilton.
