Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have seven male and five female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Alex Benevento, New Canaan Football. Benevento returned two interceptions for scores in a win over over Bridgeport Central.

Owen Bull, Trumbull Soccer. Bull scored three goals in a semifinal win over Greenwich and a go-ahead in the FCIAC championship win over Stamford.

Kody Goldman, Staples Football. Goldman had 15 tackles, nine solo, in a win over Trumbull.

Gerald Jacobs, Fairfield Ludlowe Football. Jacobs finished with 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a win over Norwalk.

Jason Pagano, St. Joseph Football. Pagano had an interception and was part of a strong defensive effort in a win over St. Joseph.

Peter Reyes, Wilton Football. Reyes finished with 172 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns, one receiving, in a win over Brien McMahon.

Ben Rolapp, Darien Football. Rolapp was 14 of 16 and threw five touchdown passes in a win over Fairfield Warde.


Here are the female finalists:

Taryn Czick, St. Joseph Soccer. Czick scored both goals, her second and third of the season, and was MVP in a 2-1 win over Staples for then FCIAC title.

Esme Daplyn, Greenwich Cross Country. Daplyn won the Class LL individual title.

Emma Kelly, New Canaan Swimming & Diving. Kelly won the FCIAC diving title with 428.30 points.

Kathleen Murray, Fairfield Ludlowe Swimming & Diving. Murray won the 50 free and 100 free titles at the FCIAC championships.

Ashley Stockdale, Darien Field Hockey. Stockdale scored twice and was named MVP in the Blue Wave’s 3-0 FCIAC final win over Staples.
