Vote For The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Players Of The Week

We have six male and six female finalists for The Ruden Report-Fairfield County Bank Player of the Week votes.

The votes will run until noon on Thursday. The winners will get our POTW T-shirts, courtesy of Fairfield County Bank.

Here are the male finalists:

Dominic Barrella, Ridgefield Wrestling. Barrella won the 120-pound title at the Colter Abely Tournament and won by pin in a match against Wilton.

Jaylen Brown, Norwalk Basketball. Brown scored 50 points in an overtime win over Staples and 29 in a loss to Ridgefield.

Kegan Clark, Greenwich Swimming. Clark won the 200 freestyle and was part of two winning relays in a victory over Fairfield Prep.

Bryce Lyden, New Canaan Hockey. Lyden had three goals and an assist in a 7-0 win over previously unbeaten Prout (RI).

Braden McDermott, Trumbull Wrestling. McDermott won the 175-pound title at the Colter Abely Tournament.

TJ Wright, St. Joseph Basketball. Wright scored 38 points in a win over Darien.


Here are the female finalists:

Kayla Algeri, Trumbull Gymnastics. Algeri won three events and the all around with a score of 37.25 in a win over four other schools.

Cameron Froehlich, Danbury Basketball. Froehlich averaged 18.5 points, four assists and 4.5 steals in a pair of wins.

Ryanne GulbinFairfield Warde Basketball. Gulbin averaged 17 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and three assists in a pair of wins.

Laura Guster, Staples Gymnastics. Guster won all four events and the all-around with a score of 36.45 in wins over Darien and Norwalk.

Hayden McBean, Fairfield Ludlowe Basketball. McBean had a pair of double-doubles, averaging 11 points and 15.5 rebounds in a pair of wins.

McCaffrey Tuttle, SWS Hockey. McCaffrey stopped 30 shots in a 2-1 upset win over Darien.
